Front garden remodelling

The client wished to have this front gardem remodelled, but without having everything that existed removed and replaced. The central concrete water feature was removed and some of the paving slabs to reduce width of entrance path to the front door. This allowed for a larger lawned area that the client desired.

The edging brickwork was in a very poor state of repair. A new footing and brick edging was built to enclose the enlarged lawn. The complex stepped shape of the brick edging was simplified and other areas repaired.

A new turfed lawn was laid. The boundary hedge was cut and shaped with the area under the hedge cleared of rubbish and weeds.

The brick wall was repaired, along with the rebuilding of two brick pillars for the new entrance gate. We had this made by a local blacksmith.

New safer steps were built from the front garden to the path running up the side of the house.
